Brief History

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) mission began in the United Kingdom, as a house fellowship in 1988, it later grew into a church situated in London.

The church has now grown to over 700 parishes in the United Kingdom.

In 1998 renewed efforts were made to build upon the previous vision of Sam Ileoma who started a parish of the church in Aberdeen in 1996. Pastor Chris Gbenle took over the leadership of the church in Aberdeen under the supervision and guidance of Pastor Kola Bamigbade as the Senior Pastor.

Through the grace of God, church services took place at Lauries Motel and later moved to McClymont Hall Holborn Street Aberdeen. Regular meetings were held on Holborn Street for many years until October 2004 when the Lord provided the church with its own premises. The purchase of 31 Palmerston Road was finalised in May 2005.

The Lord has placed a passion in the heart of Fountain of Love Church. We believe that God has called us as a local church to care for one another and for those around us. To reach out with the love of God to a world that is hurting and insecure and to get ready for the coming of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. This passion is a desire to see people free from all oppressions of the devil. The Church is actively involved in providing daily meals (lunch) for the homeless and people recovering from alcohol and drug issues. The Church serves at least 120 portions of meals per week, and organises prayers and bible study sessions at the Faith Clinic meetings. The Church also distributes food on the streets of Aberdeen every Sunday evening.

The Fountain of Love Church has birthed parishes in Ayrshire, Banchory, Dundee, Ellon, Falkirk, Fraserburgh, Glasgow, Hamilton, Inverurie, Portlethen, and Stonehaven; making great impact all over Scotland. The Church continues to grow and flourish by God’s Grace.
